How do I apply?

Applications need to be made using an online application system which can be accessed by clicking on the apply button below. Successful applicants from this stage will be invited to a telephone interview, and offers of places on the Summer School will then be made.

The online application has three stages:

1. Personal details
This section is very straightforward and asks for personal details such as contact details, university and degree.

2. Questions
There are three questions you need to answer as part of your application and these are an opportunity for you to give your motivations for applying for the event, positions of responsibility, achievements and examples of where you have displayed key skills/competences.

3. Test
This is a test of verbal reasoning and has been designed to assess the key skill of reasoning with verbal information which is an important skill for the legal profession.

The online application system will be open between 15 December 2009 and 31 March 2010. Please note that all applications must be made via the online system.

Applications will not be considered after the closing date of 5.00pm on 31 March 2010.

Telephone interview
Those students successful at the application stage will be invited to a telephone interview. Students invited to interview will be contacted after the closing date with interviews taking place shortly after.

Places on the Summer School will be offered after the telephone interviews have been completed.

Hints and tips
- Take your time when completing your application and read the questions carefully.
- Prepare your answers to the three questions before submitting your application. Before you submit your application read through your answers to check for any unnecessary mistakes.
- Once you have started your application you can complete the stages in your own time so you do not need to finish the whole application in one sitting.

All three stages need to be completed and submitted before your application will be considered.
